Tonight our lodge office bearers hosted and conferred an excellent exemplification of the Fellow Craft Degree to a very high standard indeed.
The recipient of the degree was Bro Malcolm McNeil of Lodge Alpha Crucis. 980. Very soon Malky will be a member of our lodge when he officially affiliates to Caldercruix St John 1314 at our next regular meeting.
Malcolm's mother lodge work under the Scottish constitution in Johannesburg in South Africa.
I was intrigued by the name Alpha Crucis so after some research I discovered that Alpha Crucis is actually the name of the brightest star in the constellation Crux which is more probably commonly known as The Southern Cross and is the 13th most brightest star in the night sky.
All this is very apt as I'm sure that Bro Malky will be a future star in our lodge and is a leading light at lodge harmonies.
